Joël’s Athletics

Personal Trainer & Online Coach, helping you towards building strength, health – and a little sexy.

I’m Joël – a former basketball kid who stepped into the weight room because skills weren’t enough at some point. Training gave me more than muscle: it gave me confidence, structure and the feeling that I could accomplish anything. Today I combine bodybuilding, calisthenics and athletic training to help people gain the same feeling.

My Story

I’ve always been obsessed with sports. Basketball was my first love – until I realised that my skills were growing faster than my body, playing against men’s teams at 15. if I wanted to compete, I needed more size and strength, which took me to the weight room.

And that’s where it actually began: Training changed how I looked, but more importantly how I felt and how I moved through life. It gave me confidence, structure and this quiet belief of: “If I can change my body, I can change more.” A mid‑foot fracture killed the idea of a real basketball career, but not my love for training – it just shifted from the court to the gym.

In the gym I went through everything: bodybuilding, calisthenics, athletic training. Instead of picking one, I realised: you don’t have to choose. Every style is just a tool, you can use to keep progressing. I started training friends, family and people around me and saw the same pattern: once their body changed, their mindset and life started changing too.

It might start with looks, but the real value goes way beyond the gym. Realizing that, was the moment I knew I wanted to help more people feel exactly the same way.

MY approach

My approach starts from a simple idea: every training style is just a tool – what matters is how we use it. I don’t put nobody in a box, I combine elements from strength training, hypertrophy work and athletic methods so you can look better, move better and feel more confident in your everyday life, not just in the gym.

Especially for people who have been training for a while but still don’t see the results they know are possible. I know exactly how that feels and the guidance and support, I offer today, is something I wished for back then. I’m proud I did it myself – but it took me a decade. Now I use that experience to compress that into a focused coaching process where I explain everything you actually need to know about training and nutrition, so you can make real progress in a fraction of that time.

For me, good training always has one constant: intensity – the right level for your goal and your current state. Around that, we build structure, progression and education, so you understand why we’re doing what we’re doing instead of just blindly following a plan. In our sessions I can be intense and detail‑focused; outside of them I’ll show you empathy and support.

My goal is that this isn’t just “a program” you once did, but a turning point where you either look back and think “this changed everything for me” – or decide to keep growing with me long‑term in your body, your abilities and your confidence.
